Causes of Hair Loss

Hair Loss usually starts with more than normal hair coming out while brushing. It may be insignificant in the beginning but after a while it may start manifesting itself by a lot more of the scalp visible than usual.

Baldness means an extreme amount of hair loss from your crowning glory. There may be several causes like genetics, strong medications like chemotherapy, or some other medical problem. Men and women both can suffer from hair loss.

Around 90 percent of hair keeps growing at one time whereas the rest may be taking a rest. Normally hair grows a mere one centimeter in a month and this cycle of growth continues for two to six years. The ten percent of hair not in an active phase falls out and is replaced by a new growth.
